We Enjoyed Meeting Everyone At NSTA in L.A.
Our thanks to the hundreds of educators who stopped by our booth at the NSTA National Conference in Los Angeles. We learned a lot and talking with everyone. Looking forward to attending more conferences in the future.
One thing that most surprised you (and us) was the fact that K12IRC.org is totally free. No fees. No registering your email address. Just dive in and start using the site. What we didn't fully realize was how much resources like this are needed. School budgets continue to be tight and up-to-date, annotated directories of free resources are sorely needed. We are very proud that we can support the K-12 community in this way.
Another thing that surprised many of you was the wide variety of topic areas we cover. There were a number of teacher educators who were very excited about the site.
Free Classroom Websites - A How To
A topic that elicited a lot of interest was creating a classroom website, and how you can do that easily and for free. Learn how a class website can help you, your students and parents, and how to get started. learn more...
3D Printing Primer
We talked with a number of educators who now have 3D printers and were not sure what to do with them. We've assembled a wide range of free resources to help you use and incorporate this exciting tool into your classroom. learn more...

Remote Sensing Technology
Remote sensing is the science of obtaining information about objects or areas from a distance, typically peering down from a drone, aircraft or satellite. While you probably don't have the budget to reserve an aircraft or satellite, many web sites provide free data sets your students can download and use. An interesting STEM resource for middle and high schools. learn more...
Help Spread The Word
We've printed up postcard flyers promoting K12IRC.org. If you would like a stack to leave in your teacher break room or to hand out at your next meeting / professional development event, let us know. We will be glad to send you as many as you need. Send requests to firstname.lastname@example.org or learn more...
What Are We Missing?
K12IRC is always on the lookout for new subject areas to include and we need your help. Recent additions have included Drones, 3D Printing, and updates to Democracy in America to cover the 2016 elections.
What topics should we tackle next? Send your ideas to email@example.com
Hope you had a great spring break!
We publish a quarterly K12IRC.org Newsletter via e-mail. The newsletter highlights new and expanded areas of the site and keep you posted on new developments.
