This site is owned and operated by Dr. Bonnie Tenenbaum. Because we gather certain types of information about our visitors, we feel you should fully understand our policy and the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather and how we use it.
Information We Gather and Track
We gather two types of information about visitors:
1. Information that visitors provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions and can include filling out response forms, participate in polls, requests to be added to our newsletter list, etc.
2. Information we gather through tracking information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout our sites. This information allows us to better tailor our content to readers' needs.
Consistent with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting parental consent.
We track visitor traffic patterns throughout our site, both internally and using third party products, mainly Google Analytics. We track and catalog the search terms that visitors enter in our Search function, but this tracking is not associated with individual visitors. We use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites visitors like and don't like based on traffic to those areas. This helps us continue to build a better site for you.
Like many services, we use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use our site. Their cookies are used to store information, such as the time that the current visit occurred, whether the visitor has been to the site before and what site referred the visitor to the web page.
We use this information to compile reports and to help us improve our site. It reports website trends to us without identifying individual visitors.
Use Of Information
As stated above, we use information that visitors voluntarily provide in order to send out electronic newsletters and to enable visitors to participate in the various parts of our site.
We use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites visitors like and don't like based on traffic to those areas. This helps us continue to build a better service for you.
We track search terms entered in Search function as one of many measures of what interests our visitors.
Sharing Of The Information
We will not sell, trade, rent or provide any personal information or email addresses we collect with any third party, except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our visitors or the public.
We use servers protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our visitors.
