The United States Food and Drug Administration in collaboration with NCPIE and Montgomery County, Maryland, have developed a middle school curriculum called Medicines in My Home--about safe use of over-the-counter medicines.

Many Internet based projects focus on the middle school level where it is presumed that students have attained a sufficient, general skill level to engage in these projects at least semi-autonomously and the curriculum is not so rigid that interdisciplinary projects cannot be accommodated.
