Teachers are increasingly asked to bring Asia into their classrooms. The UCLA Asia Institute has developed a number of annotated online catalogs (curriculum materials, films, and internet resources) as well as resources such as Today in Asian History, AsiaDocuments, and AsiaStats to aid in this effort.
In addition, the Asia Institute works with teachers through seminars at UCLA and at school sites. The Asia Institute also partners with other major universities in improving instruction on Asia through the Association for Asian Studies (AAS) and the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA).
ASCD's SmartBrief, delivered to your email box, summarizes current issues from various national publications. An efficient use of time, because the reader guides the summaries.
